The end of winter/beginning of spring means Sakura everything starts popping out all over Japan, and Starbucks in Japan is no different.
For a limited time every year, you can get your hands on this Sakura Blossom Cream Frappuccino/Latte.
Although I'm more of a "brew my own coffee at home" type of person, I really wanted to taste this drink for myself while I had the chance to see if it is really worth the hype.
I didn't try the latte version, but I did end up getting the frappuccino, and it was pretty good.
I'm not exactly sure what the toppings were made of, but they had a nice little crunch to them, almost like a puffed cereal.
I do have to say that the drink is quite sweet.
Delicious, but sweet.
Or maybe I'm just not used to sugary coffee drinks like this anymore.
What I should have done was buy one to share with my husband, because even he was struggling to finish his due to the sweetness factor.
For two Grande sized frapps, we paid around 1,300 Yen, which comes out to be roughly $13 USD. Definitely more of a treat, than an everyday drink in my opinion.
If you would like to see the vlog of us trying this drink, you can watch it HERE.
