Theme: "Good Vibes Only"
My August glam bag from Ipsy is finally here!
As always, before we dive into what's inside,
you guys know I have to throw in my two cents about the actual bag itself.
If I'm going to be completely honest...
I'm not feeling it.
I feel like it's a complete downgrade from last month's bag.
It's ok though.
You win some, you lose some.
Now let's break down what's inside:
1.)Crown Brush SS035 - Medium Face Contour Brush
2.)AURORA Pro Color Corrector in "Pistachio"
3.)the Balm Voyage Vol. 2 Eyeshadow in "Kuwakaribisha"
4.)Leaders Cosmetics USA Sheet Mask Duo - "What Happened Last Night?" & "Pore Gone for Good"
5.)Hikari Cosmetics Shimmer Bronzer in "Flush"
Alright first thing we got is face contour brush from Crown (yay).
I always love getting new brushes, and although I haven't had a chance to try this one out yet, I'm sure it's good.
I've gotten a few brushes from Crown before, and they are some of my favorites.
(retail price $6.99)
Next we have this green color corrector from Aurora.
Up until now I haven't heard of this brand before, so I'm hoping it's good.
I've been wanting to dive into the world of color correctors for a while now, so here's my chance.
Green color correctors (concealers) are meant to correct redness, which I happen to have a lot of. They're great for under eyes, around the nose, or for trying to cover up those unwanted pimples.
(retail price $8 full size)
Next we have this this eyeshadow/luminizer from
The Ipsy makeup gods have finally heard my prayers, because if I was about to get another bronze eyeshadow,
somebody would be catching these hands!
All jokes aside, this is a beautiful champagne color.
I'm someone who usually wears nude/matte shades, but I think this would love really pretty on the eyes for a more dewy/wet eye look.
(retail price $39.50 for full size palette)
Next we have these two sheet masks from
I've been nagging Ipsy for months for more Korean beauty products, and more sheet masks,
and once again, the Ipsy makeup gods have heard my prayers.
Although I haven't tried these particular masks, I've tried other sheet masks from this brand,
and they were hands down some of the best
that I've used, so I have high hopes for these.
(retail price $5/mask)
Last, but not least, we have this little bronzing quad from Hikari.
Although the colors are nice, I typically hate using quads like this.
If anything, I'll probably use these as eyeshadows instead.
That light pink one on the top left is probably my favorite color out of all of them.
(retail price $17)
And that concludes what's in this month's Ipsy bag.
Which one of these are your favorite, or something that you would be interested in trying?
Leave me a comment, don't be shy. ;)
Overall, I would rate the bag a 5/5 this month.
