So I'm entering my first ever blogger competition, and I encourage you to do so to if you love photography.
The only major requirements?
You must have a blog.
This competition is called #LetThereBeLight
and is hosted by a company called
Urban Cottage Industries which specializes in really cool lighting.
To enter you must create a blog post featuring 2 different images:
One that showcases natural light, and one showcasing artificial light.
You also need to include the following link somewhere in your post:
Once you've completed your post, simply submit it via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Make sure to include a link to your post in the email as well as your name and address.
The winner of this competition will receive £500 (about $675 USD) worth of vouchers for photography equipment from Amazon, and 5 runner ups will receive a personalized moleskin notepad.
Let's be real ya'll.
Photography equipment isn't cheap, so I think this is a great opportunity for anyone who's a photographer, blogger, or Youtuber to really up their game.
I'll show you an example of the images that I am submitting.
The first image is an example of natural light.
This image was taken when the sun was setting on one of the many beaches we have here in Northern Japan.
In case you're wondering, our summers here always have these types of breathtaking sunsets,
and it's one thing I will really miss about this place when it comes time to say goodbye.
In person they are even more spectacular!
The second image is an example of artificial light.
These are one of the many beautiful lanterns that are displayed all over the streets during the Tanabata Festival which is held
every summer in Japan.
The Tanabata Festival is also known as the Star Festival, and celebrates the meeting of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi.
Simple enough right?
If you also decide to enter this competition, please feel free to share your post with me.
I'd love to see what you come up with!
Good luck, and may the odds be in your favor. :)
