What's In My IPSY March Glam Bag 2018 | "Create"

Theme: "Create"

Ok, so I know this is super late, but since we were in the middle of moving, I didn't get my March glam bag from Ipsy until recently,

so please let's refrain from judging me.

As you can see, once again I received six products instead of the typical five.

We have a lot to cover, so let's get started.

Let's talk about the bag first.

I'm kind of living for it, and I found it to be quite therapeutic.

As you can see two markers were included, so that you can color and customize the bag

however you want.

I don't remember the last time I ever colored something, so taking a few minutes to doodle really took me back to my childhood days.

Ok, now let's break down what's inside:

1.)GLOSSIER Balm Dotcom in "Mint"

2.)TARTE COSMETICS Sex Kitten Black Eyeliner

3.)FURLESS Loose Pigment in "Sinister"

4.)DIRTY LITTLE SECRET COSMETICS Baked Highlighter in "Bellini"

5.)ROYAL & LANGNICKEL Prismatic Ombre Fan Brush

6.)SURMEDIC Pore-Less Carbonic-Peel Mask

First we have this lip balm from Glossier.

You guys know I typically hate receiving lip balm because I'm very picky about the type I use; HOWEVER,

when I saw this one I was praying to the Lordt that it would end up in my bag.

I've been dying to try anything from Glossier, and this balm has quickly become my go to.

The mint flavor smells exactly like my favorite spearmint gum, and I find it to be very moisturizing and absorbs quickly into the lips.

LOVE.

($12 for full size)

Next we have the Sex Kitten liner from Tarte.

My first impression was "whoop de do, another liner", but let me tell you, this liner is legit! I'm not sure of the formulation, but it seems to me like a hybrid between a gel and a pencil liner.

It glides on very black and creamy.

The best part?

When I went to go wash the swatch off of my arm,

IT WOULDN'T COME OFF!

I literally had to scrape it off with soap

and my fingernails.

I have quite a few Tarte products in my makeup collection, and have yet to be disappointed.

($20 for full size)

Next we have this loose eyeshadow from a brand that's new to me called Furless.

I'm sure if you've been following me on here for a bit, you already know my reaction...

Another bronze shade lol.

Maybe I would be less afraid of loose shadows if they had better sifters, because as soon as that sticker came off, so did all of the pigment.

I apologize for the terrible swatch in advance:

I will say that I do like that fact that it's more on the cooler side.

In person, it does seem to have a bit more olive green undertones mixed with gold and bronze reflects.

(About $14 for full size)

Next we have a baked highlighter from

DLS aka Dirty Little Secret.

At this point, I have so many highlighters, I feel like a should throw a party where everyone comes over, and we just douse ourselves

with highlighter from head to toe.

I did two separate swatches.

The bottom swatch, which you can barely see in normal lighting was a dry swatch, and the top swatch was after applying the product wet.

It seems ok right? Nothing too crazy.

But wait...

How pretty does it look when the sun hits?

Once again, top swatch is applied wet and bottom swatch is applied dry.

(Retail price $14)

You can't have a highlighter without a highlighting brush, and this one here is from ROYAL & LANGNICKEL.

FIRST OF ALL...

Can we talk about how pretty this is?

I almost just want to put it on display

and not use it.

Major unicorn vibes.

I don't have any brushes from this brand, so we will see how it holds up.

Last, but not least, we have this sheet mask from Surmedic, which is a Korean brand.

This product I redeemed with my reward points on Ipsy that you accumulate by reviewing products

that you receive.

This mask, and I quote:

"contains carbonated water which helps clarify skin impurities and dead skin cells with its skin purifying effect. It works to smooth and lift enlarged pores while AHA and BHA

stabilize skin turnover."

I've tried a similar mask like this in the past, and really liked it, so I'm sure I'll love this one too.

(Retail price $3.50)

And there we have it folks.

That concludes what's in this month's bag.

Which one of these products would you like to try most?

Overall, I would rate the bag a 5/5 this month.

If you're new to IPSY, it's a $10/month subscription service where you receive

4-5 beauty samples each month.

If you'd like to check out it out for yourself, you can do so HERE.
