Theme: "Bare Yourself"
It's the last day of August, and my Ipsy glam bag has finally graced me with it's presence.
The bag is giving me major fall vibes.
I'm not crazy about it, but then again my standards are pretty high so....
I do like the pop of pink interior and gold hardware. I think it complements the dark green nicely.
Let's break down what's inside:
First up is this Luxie Beauty Periwinkle 237 blending brush.
You guys should know the drill by now.
I love brushes, and especially Luxie brushes.
More brushes means less washing, so i'm happy to be adding it to my collection.
(Retail price $12)
Next up we have the Biorace Pore Purifying Spirulina and Tea Tree Clay Mask.
As you can tell by the name, it's infused with spirulina, tea tree, and pearl extract.
The spirulina helps to maintain a clear complexion.
Tea tree leaves a cooling sensation and helps clarify the skin,
and the pearl extract brightens.
($25 for full size)
Next up is the JONTEBLU Felt Tip Eyeliner Pencil (Pen?) in the shade "Black".
I don't have a swatch photo because I don't want to open it until I'm ready to use it,
so that it doesn't dry out ahead of time.
I haven't worn liner in a hot minute,
so I feel like I have to re-learn how to do a perfect cat eye all over again.
We'll see how this goes.
I'm not sure if this one is exclusive to Ipsy, because I didn't see the exact one on their website,
so I'm unsure of the retail price.
Next up is the It Cosmetics Confidence
That was a mouthful lol.
The sample size was shockingly tiny.
I'll be lucky if I get a few uses out of it.
That's fine with me because I'm extremely picky when it comes to skincare.
Supposedly this moisturizer is made by plastic surgeons and dermatologists, so we'll see if it lives up to my standard.
It's also oil free and is supposed to hydrate for up to 72 hours.
The cactus flower extract also helps to smooth skin and prime the face
before makeup application.
($36 for full size)
Lastly we have the
in the shade "Beverly Blvd."
Once again, no swatch this time
because I haven't decided if I'm going to use it or not yet.
It's a deep cool toned rose shade and is infused with lots of good ingredients to keep lips moist and hydrated.
Lately I've been really into
lip stains and tints,
so i'm low key praying Ipsy starts incorporating those into their future bags.
(Retail price $24)
And that concludes what's in this month's bag.
Overall, I would rate the bag a 2/5 this month.
If you're new to IPSY, it's a $10/month subscription service where you receive
5 beauty samples each month.
If you'd like to check out it out for yourself, you can do so HERE.
Are you subscribed to Ipsy?
If so, I'd love to know what you got in your bag!
