Theme: "Find Your Light"
My September glam bag from Ipsy has arrived, and I am loving this whole
"shades of pink" we have going on.
This month Ipsy's focal point featured products from the OFRA X Madison Miller collab.
I'm actually loving the bag design this month.
It's that perfect muted pale pink shade with intricate little constellation designs.
The little crystal on the zipper was a creative touch to bring everything together.
Now let's break down what's inside:
I love this brand's brushes because not only are they very chic,
the little indents in the handle make it comfortable to hold.
It can be used not only on powders but on cream products as well.
It's also vegan and cruelty-free.
(Retail Price: $18)
It contains extracts from watermelon and apples, along with high quality sodium hyaluronate and niacinamide.
I use sleeping masks all the time as the last step in my skincare routine and then rinse them off in the morning.
They are quite helpful during the dry winter season to help keep skin rejuvenated and moisturized.
And It's a K-Beauty brand which we all know I love.
It's got a very refreshing watermelon scent that isn't too overpowering.
This will definitely be coming with me on my upcoming travels.
(Retail Price: $24 for full size)
Next up is the MURAD Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisturizer.
I've heard a lot of hype behind this brand but haven't tried it before, so I can't give my full two cents on it yet.
This lightweight moisturizer is infused with avocado oil, sunflower seed oil, coconut fruit extract, and shea butter.
The claim is that it's supposed to improve skin texture and minimize fine lines.
(Retail Price: $75 for full size)
As I mentioned earlier, Ipsy featured products from the OFRA X MADISON collab, and I happened to get the
Sugarcup Lip Gloss.
Although the gloss is quite thick, surprisingly it wasn't sticky.
While it doesn't give off that intense "wet look" on your lips,
I think it would be really pretty over a nude or pink lipstick.
I attempted an unedited lip swatch during golden hour
so that you can see what it looks like on it's own.
(Retail Price: $15)
Last, but not least we have an eyeshadow from The Beauty Crop in the shade "Halo".
Upon first glance, I didn't think I was going to like it because it seemed a bit dark for me, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The website describes it as a metallic lilac shade, but it seems to be a bit more on the pink side to me.
IDK, you can be the judge after looking at the swatches.
I made sure to leave the swatches raw and unedited to show how they appear in different natural lighting,
Of course, it's always hard to capture on a photo how reflective it is, so just trust me when I say it's much prettier in real life than it appears.
This shadow is infused with plant-based ingredients and natural oils.
(Retail Price: $10)
And that concludes what's in this month's bag.
Overall, I would rate the bag a 5/5 this month.
