As some of you may already know, I've been obsessed with skincare for many years now.
The only regrets I have is not implementing a good skincare routine when I was younger.
I've written a handful of skincare care reviews, as well as talked about my ten step skincare routine in previous posts, and today we will be discussing the benefits of introducing
retinol into your routine.
For the past month I have been using a serum from the brand Green Esthetics called Beetinol.
This serum is not only made up of bee venom and retinol (thus the name "Beetinol"), but it also includes ingredients such as peptide complex, hyaluronic acid, vitamin K, and vitamin C.
All good things if you ask me.
Here are some of the benefits of each of these ingredients:
Bee Venom: increases collagen production, blood circulation, and skin hydration
Retinol: helps reduce fine lines/wrinkles by tightening and toning the skin
Peptide Complex: anti-aging proteins that encourage collagen production
Hyaluronic Acid: helps improve skin texture and smoothness
Vitamin K: reduces skin inflammation, strengthens & hydrates skin
Vitamin C: boosts collagen levels
Benefits of these ingredients combined:
Brightened and more hydrated skin
Assist the body in naturally producing collagen and elastin
Strengthen skin's moisture barriers
Reduces dark under eye circles and puffiness
Firms wrinkles and fine lines
The formula itself is quite lightweight and absorbs into the skin quickly without leaving a sticky and greasy finish. What I admire about this particular brand is that is focuses on using natural ingredients and avoiding harmful ingredients that are found in many products.
In addition to my face, I've also been applying this product to my neck area where I have noticed signs of aging. While this serum can be used both day and night, if using it during the day, make sure to apply spf afterwards to protect your skin from sun damage.
The little rollerball also comes in handy because I can chuck it into my purse while traveling.
So far I've been using this product a little over a month now, and I personally haven't experienced any breakouts or skin irritation.
To apply, I simply rub it in gently to my problem areas in a circular motion until it is fully absorbed.
