Welcome to beautiful España. The majestic island of Palma de Mallorca to be exact.
A place filled with hundreds of turquoise-blue beaches with the clearest water you've ever seen!
A place with majestic mountains, castles, cathedrals, art, top quality food and nightlife.
A place (insert dramatic pause), with the most amazing sangria I've ever had.
Whether you're looking to party, lounge on the beach, or just take in all of the history and culture, this incredible island is a one stop shop.
I have so many amazing memories from our trip here, and so many things I want to tell you that I don't even know where to begin...
There are many different cities/regions within Mallorca and the 3 that we adventured around/stayed in were Palma Nova, Palma, and of course, Magaluf.
Palma Nova is the nearest place to Magaluf, and a nice place to relax if you want to get away from the crazy party scene. And by relax I mean there are still bars/clubs with lively music here, only not as intense as it is in Magaluf (but we'll get to that later).
You've got an endless amount of shops (perfect for souvenirs), restaurants, and you're right on the beach.
We ate loads of delicious seafood paella, and this is where we tried that amazing sangria that was made with watermelon (my fav) and many other exotic fruits.
Romantic dinners on the beach? Check.
We also got some cool henna tattoos, and they survived all of our beach days.
Next we moved on to explore Palma. Palma is both the capital of Mallorca, as well as the largest city. This is where we saw all of the beautiful cathedrals and architecture. It's also where you can knock out all of your shopping if you're wanting to buy more than just souvenirs.
Now let me introduce to you Magaluf. This is where we finished off our trip, and where I got the worst sunburn of my entire life (do NOT use tanning oil with zero SPF in the brutal sun here). This particular resort is mostly intended for young couples, or just young people in general, although some families do like to come and stay with their children.
The party doesn't stop here. Like at all.
If you're looking to get some much needed sleep, you can forget about it, because you will hear dance music and people partying all the way to your hotel room, until sunrise. Then a couple hours later you will see them on the beach at the crack of dawn with a drink in hand.
I'll be honest, IDK how they do it.
Magaluf is the place where you can catch some of the hottest DJ's performing at some of the hottest clubs in the world (BCM is one of them).
Tiesto, DJ Sammy, and Basshunter are just some that have performed here in the past.
It's also socially acceptable to tan topless. I'd be lying if I said I didn't get thrown off guard at first when I saw a beach full of topless women (young and old), but it's pretty normal here, and no one even batted an eye. Well, some pervy tourists were a bit of an exception...
There's nothing more freeing than tanning topless on a beach, and knowing you won't have to deal with those ugly tan lines that we get from bikini tops.
That being said, we had a good time and really enjoyed ourselves in Magaluf.
Definitely will be one of the best vacations of our entire life, and I can't wait to go back again.
